Ascendum Maquinaria, S.A.U.

In 1999 the Portuguese group Auto-Seuco Coimbra acquired the Spanish company Volvo Maquinaria de Construcción, a company operating in the import and distribution of Volvo Construction Equipment in Spain. The resulting company was renamed Volmaquinaria Construcción España. In 2012 the Auto-Sueco Coimbra Coimbra Group was restructured, changing its name to the Ascendum Group and creating its Spanish subsidiary Ascendum España. Ascendum group Ascendum is a Portuguese group that operates worldwide and is one of the leading global suppliers of industrial equipment for construction and infrastructure. The Group operates in four major business areas: industrial machinery and equipment, infrastructure machinery, trucks and vehicles. Generally, the Ascendum Group works in sectors including construction, public works, mining, industry, freight and car sales. Founded in 1959 as a Volvo dealership, the Ascendum Group is currently one of the largest world distributors of Volvo Construction Equipment.
